Our Online Training Center offers a fee-based video Stormwater Training program. The program is designed to bring developers, builders, contractors, inspectors and anyone involved with soil disturbance activities into compliance with the NYSDEC State Pollution Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Construction Activity General Permit.

The Stormwater Training Program is sponsored by the New York State Builders Association (NYSBA) and taught by John E. Folchetti, CEO, P.E., of J. Robert Folchetti and Associates (JRFA), Stormwater Trainer SWT#0045-T.

This online course is designed to provide the mandatory NYSDEC 4-hour training in the principles and practices of erosion and sediment control (ESC) as specified in the permit.

The NYSBA member rate is only $199.00 per trainee, when you register as a NYSBA member, while the non-member rate is $245.00 per trainee. To learn more about NYSBA member services and how to join NYSBA, click here.

A Stormwater Trainee Identification Number will be assigned to each person that completes the NYSDEC 4-hour training. This Identification Number will be registered with the NYSDEC and is valid for three years.

Each Trainee will be required to provide the requested contact information on the registration form. This information will include your email address, contact telephone number and home mailing address that appears on your Driver License together with your Driver License number.

You can register online at any time (24/7). Once your registration and payment is processed you will receive access to the training website via email with your login and password. The online training is composed of eight sessions. You will have 30 days from receipt of your login to complete the course. Upon completion of the course, JRFA South will send your course completion documents consisting of a certificate and a wallet card to the email address provided on your registration form.
